Privacy Policy

Market-Signal is an automated service for analysing available public app-market information and presenting market reports. This policy applies to visitors and people who submit a market-analysis request through this website.

The current product does not offer customer accounts or paid checkout. If those features are introduced, this policy will be updated before the new personal-data processing begins.

• Submitted request information: the idea, app name, website, store link, or other market-search text you submit; selected analysis options; and technical identifiers needed to continue the request.
• Generated report information: the request, market-study configuration, selected apps, report output, and the evidence references needed to provide and improve the service.
• Public-source information: public app listing and review data collected for analysis. Depending on what a source makes public, this can include app metadata, review text, rating, publication date, reviewer display name, and a public review or profile link.
• Security and technical information: IP-derived security data used to verify protected actions, request and error information, and limited service telemetry such as provider, timing, status, and token/cost totals.

Please do not include passwords, payment-card data, government identifiers, or other sensitive personal data in a request.

• to validate requests, find relevant competing apps, collect available public evidence, and generate reports;
• to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the service;
• to detect abuse, protect the service, and enforce applicable terms; and
• to comply with applicable legal obligations and respond to valid requests.

Market-Signal is a decision-support tool. We do not use a submitted request to make decisions about an individual's eligibility for credit, employment, insurance, housing, or similar high-impact purposes.

We use service providers only as needed to run the product. Current examples include:

• OpenAI: Market-Signal sends relevant request and public-review evidence to OpenAI to generate structured analysis. Our Responses API requests are configured withstore: false.
• Cloudflare Turnstile: protected actions use Turnstile to help prevent automated abuse. Cloudflare processes the challenge token and related technical information, including IP address information used for verification.
• Public information providers: we request public information from app storefronts and other enabled public sources, including Apple's App Store and Google Play, to perform the requested analysis.
• Hosting and infrastructure providers: they process information needed to host the website, database, and background processing.

We do not sell your submitted request information for advertising or use it for cross-site behavioural advertising.

We retain submitted requests, report records, and public-source evidence for as long as reasonably needed to operate the current service, maintain report integrity, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. The current product does not yet have a customer-account deletion interface; you can contact us to make a privacy request.

Operational API-call telemetry is designed to exclude full OpenAI prompts and raw review text and is retained for up to 90 days. Public-source collection records and report data do not currently have a fixed published retention period. If Market-Signal introduces accounts or paid reports, it will publish the applicable account, report, deletion, and backup-retention rules before those features begin.

The website may use browser session storage to preserve an unfinished lookup draft in your browser. Cloudflare Turnstile and essential service components may use their own necessary browser storage or cookies. We do not currently use a separate analytics or advertising platform on the public product experience.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity and may retain limited information where a legal exception applies.

Market-Signal is not directed to children and is intended for people at least 18 years old. Do not submit personal information about a child through the service.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Our providers may process information in countries other than yours; where applicable, we use the safeguards required for those transfers.
